Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Prime Fairways ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services ("Service"). We respect your privacy and only collect what we need to run the membership.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. Your name, email, optional phone number, postal code or city, and password (stored as a salted hash — we never see your plain-text password). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and a unique provider identifier.
  • Waitlist & survey responses. Information you voluntarily submit on our waitlist form (play frequency, preferred times, types of golf you're interested in, optional free-text message).
  • Booking & usage data. Once memberships go live: courses you book, credit usage, savings, and referral activity.
  • Device & log data. IP address (stored as a daily-rotated hash for abuse prevention), user agent, page paths, and timestamps. We do not store raw IP addresses long-term.
  • Cookies & similar. Strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in, session refresh, and CSRF protection. We do not run third-party advertising cookies on the marketing site.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and operate your account.
  • To send transactional email (booking confirmations, password resets, billing receipts).
  • To send waitlist updates and member newsletters (you can unsubscribe any time).
  • To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
  • To improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks for targeted advertising.

4. How we share information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers. Hosting (Vercel), database & authentication (Supabase), and email delivery — under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only to provide their service to us.
  • Partner venues — only the minimum needed to honor your booking (your name and the slot you reserved), and only when you actually book.
  • Legal & safety. When required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers. If we are acquired or merge with another company, your information may be transferred — under the same protections.

5. Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile and notification preferences from your account Settings. To delete your account, use the "Delete account" option in Settings or email us. Deletion removes your personal information except where we are required to retain records by law or for fraud prevention.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — including the right to access, correct, delete, port, or object to processing of your personal information. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR. To exercise any of these, email hello@primefairways.com.

6. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, we retain limited records (billing history, abuse logs) for the period required by tax and consumer-protection law — typically up to seven years. IP hashes are discarded within 90 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS-only transport, hashed passwords, short-lived sign-in tokens, server-side rate limiting on auth-sensitive endpoints, and least-privilege database access. No system is perfectly secure; you can help by using a strong unique password and enabling two-factor authentication when we offer it.

8. Children

The Service is intended for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

Prime Fairways is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will indicate the new effective date at the top. For material changes that reduce your rights, we will notify you by email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
